PS4 weird issue with blue light (different situation)
ell we are all familiar with the famous blue light of death with the ps4. I'm getting it too but slightly different. It's the cuh-1100a. Japanese version which Sony won't service in the United states.
If the ps4 is held with the face down and the rear pointed up it will work just fine but if the ps4 is put any other direction it will do the blue light and go dead when powered up. If I rotate the ps4 from face down to side or something when powered on I get the white light but lose video. I initialized the system and ran all updates but same issue.
I'm assuming the power supply is fine because power doesn't seem to be an issue. I'm thinking a bad hdmi port but it looks fine but that doesn't mean anything.
Anyone have any insight on this or experience anything similar?
I bought mine from a pawn shop a week ago and it's doing something similar. It will go into rest mode as soon as it turns on sometimes and then once it does, the only way I can turn it off is unplugging it. And it seems to be getting more worse. Sometimes it works fine but most the time it doesn't. It just started loosing vision on the screen and making a weird buzzing noise, but the lights Still white. And again it won't let me shut it off without unplugging it..
