Also, it took awhile for Nintendo to provide some quality games. Which I dont understand how Sony and Microsoft are not getting tons of negative press in that area.
Power doesn't mean anything. What the Wii U is trying to tell you is while the technology can't advance, it's games can. Just look at Mario Kart 8. Also, the PS4 and Xbox One have had support from the start whereas Wii U didn't quite have.
Developers are now refusing to release their games in hopes of the console failing. I'm not fanboying, but I'm very suspicious and concerned in what is going on with the gaming industry as a whole.

Legacy, i don't disagree with you completely on your point of views on the state of the videogaming industry. Plus, I don't feel that your comments sounds like a Nintendo fanboy but more like a gamer. There is no conspiracy or suspicious reason for Nintendo's less than stellar sells or their dwendling acceptance among gamers & developers alike. Developers/publishers refuse to create games on the Wii U due the Nintendo Wii U hardware doesn't meet today's standards of technology. In addition, Nintendo policy and regulation are pretty strict which puts them at a major disadvantage in comparison to the ps4 and the Xbox one in regards to third party support. Nintendo has always and probably will continue to be a conservative company when creating games along with their low-cost hardware philosophy. Plus it's no secret that Nintendo burnt their bridges with many of the Developers with their extremely restricting rules in the past. I think Nintendo past president meant well and was only trying to avoid the over-saturation of games.

So, yes I agree that Nintendo's philosophy is about providing quality games. The question always has been whether Nintendo can regain the support of the developers and provide quality & quantity launch titles for gamers. Nintendo has always created conservative & traditionally cost effective gaming consoles and stopped providing cut-edge raw power since the GameCube. The success of the wii was probably in my opinion the worst thing to happen for Nintendo cause it created a sense of false security in that less means more. How long does Nintendo believe they can keep creating underpowered technology before technology demands for a true cutting edge system. I want you to think back to the 2012 Game developer conference (GDC) only 6.4 percent of 2,500 North American game developers who attended were currently making a Wii U games. Those numbers tell you that Nintendo's support was already at a minimal.

As of who deserves the blame. I can't blame the developers and publisher for the state of the gaming industry. I blame the gamers for the state the industry is currently in. As the gaming industry becomes more commercial the creativity begins to suffer with each moment. There are a lot at stake for Developers/publisher when trying to creating a new ip. I find myself among the many gamers that maybe partly responsible for supporting the developers/publishers beliefs of continuing to make more of the kind of games like cod, battlefield, madden and let's be honest as much as gamers claim they want the developers to create bold new & exciting titles to play. Gamers constantly overlook them almost every time. Let's just take the Wii u's the wonderful 101. It was a good game that was poorly received by many of Nintendo's gamers. Nintendo religiously prove that third party games is not as profitable on their system.

Koz has a valid point maybe if Nintendo was to follow the footsteps of Sony and appoint a CEO that has a better sense of the western market then maybe that would rekindle a relationship between the developer/publisher and also gamers trust in the company. Cause at this moment Nintendo glory days is becoming more like a distant memory.

If they were smart they would do something akin to another GameCube, step away from the interactivity of the Wii systems and go back to their roots. I hardly used my Wii, and I really only use it now to play GameCube games since my GameCube is broken
